Can you describe the moment you wanted to capture?
I was just trying to capture a piece of reality I found noteworthy for its aesthetic qualities. If that qualifies as a “moment” then I guess that’s your answer.
Can you describe the moment(s) you captured the photo(s)?
Hopefully the ones I intended to.
Where were you when you realised you wanted to make this piece of art?
Standing right in front of the scene pictured. Currently, my photographic process is very… spontaneous. I prefer editing photos to taking them, in most cases, so while the initial impulse occurs with camera in hand, I apply the majority of thought to what happens after I’ve collected some material.
Were you listening to music when you created this piece?
These photos range from my first trip with a proper camera to my latest, which is a time period of about 3 years, so the only thing I can say that I was listening to for certain while editing them is Is This It by the Strokes, as it’s been on almost permanent repeat in my room since 2014.
What have you learnt since creating this piece?
Between the earliest and most recent photos, I’ve learned everything I currently know about photography and post-processing.
Where do you dream of living?
Switzerland or London. I don’t bother with realistic dreams.
What does yellow remind you of?
Margarine. Yellow is probably my least favourite ordinary colour.
