Under The Acacia Tree

The sky reigns wretched blue.

Forever showing to me,

Something never to be true,

Acacia, the never-forgotten tree.

The tree was young,

its song was never sung.

The tree will never be old,

her story forever untold.

Beneath the ground,

lost life is found

Below my feet

its growth, forever incomplete.

The body, forever to be small

The soul, eternally loved by all.

Though the body may be gone,

its soul will always live on

Reaches down, does her tree

Finds what was dear to me

Acacia reaches up so high,

to her new home, in the sky

Roots stolen before their time,

barely long enough to call her mine.

The roots of her tree go so deep

My dearest treasure, always to keep.

The sky reigns wretched blue.

Forever showing to me,

Something never to be true,

Acacia, the never-forgotten tree.
